Bara’a Alhammad

I am a Ph.D. student at the computer science department in the University of Jordan. I received my B.Sc. in Computer Information Systems (CIS) and an M.Sc. in Information Systems (IS)  from the University of Jordan. My research interests include Medical Image Processing, Bioinformatics, and Genome Comparative Analysis.

Computer-Aided Diagnosis  (CAD)’s Systems development should not only take into consideration elucidating the clinical validity of rapidly accumulating data but also have to make significant progress in utilizing the knowledge about tumor heterogeneity into efficient diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic strategies for breast cancer.

My Dissertation aims at developing a new deep learning model for breast cancer multi-level histopathological classification that is derived from optimizing the Inception-ResNet-v2 model, by manipulating its design characteristics and hierarchical layers architecture. The new model intends to handle the BreaKHis microscopic images and should be well-established, comparable to further experiments, and reliable enough to be generalized and valid for other tasks in the field.
